What is happening to Mecca?

I read an article stating that there is a starbucks and others stores being built in Mecca near the Mosque, including a lingerie store.. Not only that, but condos are being put up where you can buy one for 15 million and it faces the Kaaba.. literally, you can see it from your window.... They are also tearing down a mountain to build more housing..... They are calling this "progress", Saudi Powers are saying this is good for Islam... Is this not haram? Doesn't this separate the rich from everyone else? Not only that, but a lingerie store right by the mosque? How much more hypocritical can it get? What is going on with Saudi Arabia? They raze the prophets grave site and built a library over it so noone "worships" it, but yet Saudi royalty hangs huge pictures of themselves on billboards around the country..... What is going on??!!!
