I just came out of a coma. PLEASE FILL ME IN ON NEWS?

first off i want to thank those who believed in me and visited me every chance they could get and to my mother who i found out read me 17 books while i was a vegetable. Ok so anyway, i was mugged, got knocked out and according to everyone, as i was falling, a car clipped my head. Been in a coma since. 5 years and 2 months. It was very hard this last month when i finally started responding and these last 2 weeks I've been doing nothing but regaining back my speech and movement although im still in a wheelchair because my legs aren't strong enough to support me right now. All my family is asleep after we celebrated my return home today so i have no one to ask, What has been going on here in the USA and the rest of the world these last 5 years? i hear the war is still on and we have a new black president, we have some fancy *** phones and gadgets that ive never seen, some weird rock style where kids wear the skinniest clothes. What the hell is going on? Major events? Breakthroughs? Styles? News? I'm so lost please help.
