How tohelp someone in debt who doesnt want it?

I would advise you to leave him alone. Some people don't get it and won't get it until they hit rock bottom. For example, I have a family member that overspent any time she could. She wouldn't think or care about the consequences. She lost her house, car, and ruined her credit. I tried to help her but she absolutely refused any help from me or others. As much as it hurt me to see her this way I had to let her be. She hit rock bottom and has slowly been getting back on track. She learned her lesson and is now very conscience of how she spends her money. Just leave your bf alone and let him learn from his own experience. I know you don't like to see him struggle and it hurts you too to see him like that. But he needs to help himself. You are a good friend. Just be there for him if he needs you financially.
